School pupils at primary schools have taken part in a 'French day' to celebrate their language learning.
Infant pupils at Bowbrook House School celebrated their French lessons by setting up a French cafe in their classroom.
The children, who have been learning French throughout the Autumn term, ordered in French from teachers-turned-waiters.
Mrs Ridge, the head of prep school, visited 'Le café de Paris' for a croissant, made by the children.
She said: "The children had an absolutely fabulous day."
"The croissants were really yummy," a year one pupil said, while a year two pupils commented: "I loved my strawberries and croissant."
The children also recreated their own replicas of famous Parisian landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, and joined in with French stories like La chenille fait des trous (The very hungry caterpillar), sang songs and played games.
Moving forward, the pupils will be learning Spanish in their weekly lessons, with a Spanish-themed day planned for later in the year.
