WORCESTER'S floodgates are being installed as the city tackles rapidly rising water levels.
The Environment Agency floodgate by the University Arena will be installed at 7pm tonight (Tuesday) as a number of roads and car parks have closed across Worcestershire due to flooding.
It has been a very grey and wet start to 2024 in Worcestershire with two yellow weather warnings for rain and wind in place throughout today (Tuesday).
Storm Henk has made its presence known in the county with many areas being badly affected by flooding.
Worcestershire County Council has issued a new list of road closures as of 1pm today.

- Brook Lane, Cropthorne
- Jubilee Bridge Fladbury
- Eckington Bridge
- Stocks Lane, Newland
- Bransford Court Lane
- Hanley Road, Upton
- New Street, Upton
- Ford Lane, Bromsgrove
- Lillycroft Lane, Headley Heath
Worcester City Council has now closed a number of its car parks due to the floods.
These are Croft Road, Cattlemarket, Pitchcroft or Newport Street car parks and it has also warned people about parking on Grandstand Road.
