A lane was closed while emergency services dealt with a car fire on the M5 motorway.
Fire crews from Worcester and Droitwich Fire Stations were called to a vehicle fire at 9.06am today (Friday, June 30).
The incident took place on the southbound carriageway between junctions 5 and 6.
A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A car had overheated and the fire was extinguished using a hosereel jet.
“A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots and damping down took place.
“One carriageway was closed but there were no casualties. Police also attended and Highways were informed. The incident was closed at 9.41am.”
