NOTTINGHAM Knockers operating in a Worcestershire village could be a distraction burglary attempt warn police.
A man was trying to sell goods and claimed to be working on behalf of reformed youths out of prison.
He approached an address in Kempsey with a hawker's or pedlar's licence.

PCSO Brandon Knight said a search was carried out but the man could not be found.
He said: "An area search of the area resulted in no trace of the male but we'd like to remind the public to remain vigilant against this type of activity.
"Door-to-door sales are often used by potential burglars to gauge an address or may be part of a distraction burglary. Always ensure your property is fully secure.
"It may seem innocent, but it may not be as it seems. These people may often offer household cleaning products for sale from rucksacks or suitcases.
"Please be vigilant, do not purchase anything and never hand over cash on your doorstep. If you feel threatened, close the door and contact the police.
"The items offered are often of low quality and advertised at inflated prices."
