Worcestershire firefighters were called to a car fire on the M5.
Crews from Bromsgrove and Redditch attended a small car on fire near junction 4 of the motorway just after 4pm yesterday (Monday, August 8).
Paramedics helped a woman in her 30s.
Traffic was tailed back past junction 4A for the M42 on the northbound carriageway as firefighters tackled the blaze.

A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: “A car was well alight and the fire was extinguished using a hosereel jet.

“Highways also attended as did West Midlands Ambulance Service, who attended to one female casualty in her 30s. The incident was marked as pending closure at 4.58pm.”
