THERE are not many places you can stay in the UK and see a giraffe wandering past the window.
But this is what awaits guests at the new £490 a night lodges at the West Midland Safari Park in Bewdley, Worcestershire.
The popular safari park will be opening the doors to eight luxury lodges on Friday (April 15).
Worcester News was invited to take a sneak peek of the brand new lodges and be the first to explore the luxury accommodation.
It is already proving popular with the giraffe lodges already sold out.
Guests will be able to stay in a luxurious but cosy fully furbished lodge with a mini living room, two bedrooms, a toilet and a mini kitchen.
But the wow factor comes from the full-size windows with views across the park where you can spot wildlife wandering around.
Visitors will be given a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the giraffes and white rhinos up close and personal from the comfort of their bedroom.
The architecture of the lodges means animal lovers can be sat in the living room just three metres away from the animals.

Angela Potter, head of wildlife, said: "You don't have to leave your living room, and even in the rhino lodges you don't even have to leave your bath.
"The two new lodges have created a really nice village atmosphere.
"I live on the site, and I can hear the animals as I'm going to sleep.
"Guests are really respectful, but we have guests hosts to make sure the guests are safe, and we have animal keepers to make sure the wildlife is safe."
Managing Director Chris Kelly said: "The two new lodges are an exciting part of a five-year plan, and I was brought in especially to do it."
People who stay at the lodges will get to see life at the popular attraction which is not normally enjoyed by other guests.
Mr Kelly said: "When the safari is bedding down for the night it is an incredible feeling."
There are more plans for expansion too.
Mr Kelly said the park is hoping to house four new lion and tiger lodges and eight new hippo lodges.
