A BUS fire in Worcester caused a street to be closed for most of last night.
Two Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews from Worcester were called at 5.57pm on November 9 to the bus, which was on fire in Malvern Road, Worcester.
The fire had been extinguished before the arrival of the crews who used a hosereel jet to cool the engine compartment.
A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hot spots.
West Mercia Police also attended for traffic management. There were no casualties. The incident was marked as pending closure 6.52pm.
A police cordon was in place at both ends of Malvern Road after the bus caught fire, with fire crews from Worcester being called in to deal with the blaze.
A spokesman for the fire service on Twitter said: "Crews from attended a large vehicle fire involving a bus, Pitmaston Park, Malvern Road, St Johns, Worcester."
