THE dead body of a 70-year-old man has been found in the canal at Droitwich.
Police and fire crews are attempting to recover the body near Hanbury Wharf, Worcestershire, with the next of kin informed but yet to formally identify.
Locals at the scene believe the man may have fallen from a boat in the area.
Sadly, this morning (Monday 21 October) a body of a 70-year-old man has been found in the canal in #Droitwich along the Hanbury Road. There is currently an increased police and emergency services presence whilst officials recover the body.

A West Mercia Police statement read: "There is an increase in police and emergency service officers this morning (Monday 21 October) around the canal in Droitwich near to the Eagle and Sun Pub on Hanbury Road.
"Unfortunately, (the) body of a 70-year-old man has been found in the water. The man's body will be recovered by police officials to be formally identified.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
"The family are yet to formally identify the body and we ask that their privacy be respected at this time."
