A WOMAN who harassed a Debenhams worker and abused police has been banned from the store for two years.
Lisa Bradley was handed a two year criminal behaviour order (CBO) after admitting using threatening, abusive words, behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
The CBO prevents the 47-year-old, from Grosvenor Walk, St John's, from entering the Crowngate store or hanging around it.
At Worcester Magistrates Court, on Thursday, Leslie Ashton, prosecuting, said Bradley was seen swearing at officers on the morning of January 4.
Ms Ashton said police regarded Bradley as being fixated on Debenham’s security guard Martin White.
Ms Ashton said Bradley was shouting and screaming loudly, and was aggressive when told to leave the area.
The court heard police were requesting a CBO as there had been a number of similar incidents and a previous restraining order had expired.
Ms Ashton said previously Bradley had harassed Mr White, watching him from outside, and police had had to remove her from the store having ignored a ban.
Gerry Vahey, defending, said the reason she gave for her behaviour was that she thought officers had been making fun of her.
He said Bradley suffered from various mental health issues, including paranoia. He added she was on medication and was keen to get work.
For the offence Bradley was given a 12 month conditional discharge, and ordered to pay £155 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
As part of the CBO, she must not enter Debenhams, and must not refuse to leave part of the premises if asked to do so.
The order also warns Bradley not to make any contact with Mr White, by any means, and prevents her from behaving in a way likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
