A WOMAN has died in hospital after collapsing at a home in Spring Bank, near Hindlip.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to reports of a woman collapsing at 3.40pm last night.
The 64-year-old woman was taken to hospital, where she subsequently died.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "Police were called to a property on Spring Bank in Hindlip at around 3.40pm yesterday (Wednesday) following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
"Officers attended along with the ambulance and fire services. A woman - believed to be in her 60s - was taken to hospital where she subsequently died."
A spokesman for the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters were called after paramedics asked police for assistance to enter a home.
She said: "A lady collapsed and they needed assistance with entry.
"A 64-year-old woman was being attended by ambulance personnel and was conveyed to hospital.
"They needed to gain entry to a house."
A passer-by said two ambulances and five ambulance support vehicles were outside the house, along with two police cars, a police van and a fire engine.
Officers wearing forensic suits were seen going inside.
Neighbours said they did not want to comment other than to say emergency services had left the scene by 6pm.
