NEW Year's Day brought baby joy for parents at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Among the proud parents celebrating in the hospital's Lavender Delivery Suite were Jennifer and Joe Brown of Stourport, whose son, their second child, came into the world at about 9am.
"We didn't find out if it was going to be a boy or a girl, and it's turned out to be a boy," said Jennifer. "I haven't decided yet what we're going to call him."
The new arrival will be a brother to the couple's daughter, who is 18 months old.
Emilie and John Wormington of Redditch, saw their first baby arrive at 9.56am, and it turned out to be a girl, who they have named Edith.
Mr Wormington said: "We got here at 6pm, so it's been a long night. Emilie is very tired but we're both delighted."
And Michelle Edwards, who comes from Kidderminster, gave birth to daughter Zienna Inez at 7.21am.
Zienna will be a new sister to Michelle's other three children, who are 13. 12 and six years old.
She said: "They are really looking forward to meeting her."
