UPDATE: The road has now been cleared following the crash at around 8am this morning.
ORIGINAL STORY: TRAFFIC is gridlocked on London Road at rush hour due to a crash.
The road is partially blocked due to a crash at Wyld's Lane, with police directing traffic.
Heavy traffic is building up between Spetchley Road from The Oak Apple pub to the A38, Commandery Road.
The delays come with police confirming that icy roads are causing problems in the city.
Police say that no injury was caused in the one car crash.
West Mercia Police tweeted that four crashes have happened in the Hindlip area caused by icy conditions.
The tweet said: "Within 24 minutes of starting work we received 4 emergency calls about Road Traffic Collisions caused by icy road conditions.
"Remember it can take 10 times longer to stop when its icy."
