THE body of a man was recovered from the River Avon near Pershore on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 9am.
Police got a call at about 8.50am from a member of the public who saw it.
Police and fire crews rushed to the scene, and at about 9.40am, the body was recovered.
A police statement said: "Formal identification has not yet been made.
"Police are not treating this incident as suspicious at this time."
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a heart paramedic officer and an air ambulance from Strensham to the scene.
An ambulance spokesman said: "Sadly, we found one patient deceased. We left the scene in the care of the police."
