FIREFIGHTERS tackled a series of fires last night and this morning, including a car fire on the M5 south of Worcester.
In the early hours of this morning two crews, one from Worcester and another from Upton, attended a car fire between junction 7 (Worcester South) and 8 (Strensham) on the southbound carriageway near the services. The call came in around 3.06am.
A crew from Worcester put out a fire in the open in Solent Road, Worcester after a call at around 9.02pm last night (Friday). Earlier in the evening a crew from Evesham extinguished a fire in the open off St George’s Way, Pershore after a 999 call came in at 7.50pm.
A crew from Redditch also successfully dealt with a scooter fire in West Street Redditch after the call came in at around 3.33am this morning (Saturday).
They had tackled an open fire in South Street Redditch at 10.53pm the previous evening.
