A woman's body has been found in the River Avon
A WOMAN'S body has been found in the River Avon.
West Mercia Police was called to the scene, near Evesham Rugby Club, in Blind Lane, Evesham, on Saturday, July 1.
The police received a report that a body had been seen in the river just before 8am.
Firefighters recovered the woman's body from the water and her family has been informed.
West Midlands Ambulance Service took six minutes to get to the scene, after receiving a report about the incident at 7.57am.
A response vehicle, an ambulance, a paramedic officer and a hazardous area response team was sent to the scene.
A file has been prepared for the coroner.
