UPMARKET cafe branch Pret A Manger is hoping to open a branch in Worcester city centre.
Plans have been submitted to the city council to transform the former Santander bank on the corner of High Street and St Swithin's Street into a Pret.
A decision is expected at the start of next month.
Jobs are already being advertised on Pret's website including a front of house leader and kitchen leader.
Plans for the Grade II Listed building include a large customer sales area and two areas of customer seating.
On the first floor there will be further seating accessed by a new staircase at the back of the building.
Previously, the building was built as the new Central Coffee Tavern and shops, with offices above.
It then became the Central Temperance Hotel and Restaurant, then a Cadena Café before being used as a bank.
