WORCESTER Warriors will again take to the pitch in a shirt raising money for a local charity.

The limited-edition Acorns shirt will be worn for the sixth consecutive year during the New Year's Day clash with Harlequins at Sixways Stadium.

The shirts will be available to purchase from the Sixways Store, with profits from sales donated to Acorns Children's Hospice.

Louise Arnold, Acorns Director of Income Generation, said: “Acorns and Warriors have built up a fantastic partnership over the years so we’re thrilled that the club have announced the return of the Charity Matchday.

"There’s a great buzz around this event so we’re hoping lots of people kick-start the new year with friends and family and join us on the big day.

“We are so grateful to the Club and fans for their ongoing support, particularly as we rely so heavily on fundraising and events like these for the nearly £10 million it costs to continue providing our care.”

As well as the opportunity to purchase the replica shirts, supporters can also make offers for the actual shirts the players wear during the match.

To place a reserve on a player's shirt email laura.napper@Warriors.co.uk with your bid.

All profits from the winning bidders will also go to Acorns.

Tickets cost £20, and all tickets include a donation to Acorns.

Hospitality in the Acorns Charity Lounge is available for £30 for Adults and £20 for Juniors and includes lunch and entertainment.

Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust is a registered charity offering a network of care for life limited and life threatened babies, children and young people and their families, across the heart of England.
