Friday, April 29 – Monday, May 2 St. Richard’s Boat and Car Festival Victoria Square, Droitwich.
With live music and real ale bar in Vines Park runs until 5pm on Monday. Throughout the weekend visitors can enjoy a display of canal boats, static engines, community and craft stalls, live entertainment, real ale bar and boat trips. Friday, April 29 –Monday, May 2 The Great Malvern Water Festival 6.30pm. On Friday the Town's Wells are dressed. This year's theme is friendship.
On Saturday there will be a health and wellbeing fair in Rose Bank Gardens Tour's of the Town's Wells will be on Offer. The regular Abbey Road Market will be on between 10am & 5pm. On Sunday the Outdoor Cinema will be screening Singing in the Rain. Before the film Worcestershire Film Orchestra will be playing hits from the film and other classics. Tickets are available from Malvern Theatres Box Office. On Sunday there will be water fun in Priory Park with a giant water slide, themed stalls and games for all the family to enjoy. There will also be a demonstration of the water cure championed by amongst others Florence Nightingale.
Saturday, April 30 – Monday, May 2 Pirate Weekend 10am. Cadbury World, Bourneville. Swashbuckling pirates are invading Cadbury World. Best dressed pirate competition, luck pirates from your visiting buccaneers will have the chance to win a treasure trove of prizes each day. Come in fancy dress. Theatre Factory present an amateur production Annie Kids Book by Thomas Meehan, Music by Charles Strouse, Lyrics by Martin Charnin. Annie Kids is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. Tickets £10.
Saturday, April 30 Potter’s Wheel Workshop (one day) 10am-4pm. Eastnor Pottery, Home End, Eastnor, Ledbury You will be individually assigned a potter’s wheel for the duration of the workshop. After tea/coffee, introductions and initial demonstration you will be taken as a group, step by step, through the pot throwing process. £120 Includes refreshments, lunch, firing, glazing (1-2 pots) and the cost of posting your masterpieces. 01531 633886.

Sunday, May 1 and Monday, May 2 Shrawley Bluebell Walks 11 a.m. until 4.30 p.m. each day. A lovely day out for all the family. Come and walk through the beautiful Bluebell Woods. There are wonderful homemade cakes, tea and snacks and a Treasure Trail for the children. All proceeds are in aid of St Mary's Church, Shrawley and Shrawley Village Hall. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. Cost is £3 and includes a map of the Walk and parking for a vehicle and occupants. Sunday, May 1 Mayday Procession with our rescue Donkeys in aid of Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land and Malvern Spa Association 11am. Abbey Hotel, Abbey Road, Malvern.
Starts at the Abbey Hotel at 11am for the Blessing of the Donkeys - bring your family pets for a Blessing. Then come with us on our wonderful Spring Procession to bless our local Springs and Wells. Monday, May 2 Bishopswood River Festival 10am. Bishopswood Village Hall, Bishopswood, Ross-on-Wye. The River Festival is co-ordinated by the Wye Valley AONB celebrating our river with two weeks’ of festivities. This year the Parish of Walford is taking part by hosting a “BBQ Breakfast” on Monday 2nd May at Bishopswood Village Hall and riverside field. The event will run between 10am and 1pm, when we will pass the baton down-stream to Lydbrook where festivities will continue for the afternoon. We will be serving food and refreshments but picnics are also welcome. There will be many exciting activities for all the family including a pirate-themed puppet show, colouring completion, ice creams, apple bobbing, skittles and free bouncy castles and face painting!! We will also be holding our very own Bishopswood Bake Off, so please feel free to bring your entries before 11.45am (judging and prize-giving will be held at 12 noon). Free. 01594 860303.
