ALL lanes are now open on the M5 following an earlier vehicle fire.
Traffic was queueing on the M5 northbound this evening (Friday) due to earlier lane closures caused by a vehicle fire.
One lane of the M5 northbound, between Junction 7 and Juntion 6 was shut, causing long tailbacks to Junction 8.
Earlier, all traffic was held to assist with the car fire, which has now been put out.
All three lanes of the carriageway were previously shut.
Highways England said traffic conditions should return to normal by 7.15pm, with drivers facing delays of around 20 minutes.
The southbound carriageway was also briefly blocked while fire crews extinguished the blaze.
