A RUNNER preparing to take part in this weekend's London Marathon has held a successful charity collection at a Worcester supermarket.
Warndon resident Steve Lewis is taking part in his fifth London Marathon, this year raising money for the Children with Cancer charity, which is one of the UK's leading charities aiming to determine the causes, find cures and provide care for children with cancer.
Wife Alison works on the Customer Service Desk of the Tesco store in Warndon Villages, and helped arrange for the collection in the store to be held, taking place last Friday, April 15.
Suzy Roberts, Tesco's community champion, said: "Our customers were extremely interested in what they were doing and were
also being very generous.
"Good luck to Steve with the marathon."
