THE first step on the road to becoming the new Laura Trott or Sir Bradley Wiggins is, of course, to learn to ride a bike.
And youngsters who want to emulate their sporting superstars can get in the saddle at special Children's Learn to Ride courses at Sport Martley, near Worcester, during the school Easter holidays.
Organised by local group Women on Wheels, the sessions on Friday, April 8, use the Balanceability initiative, the UK's first and only accredited learn to cycle programme for children aged five to eight.
Bikes and helmets can be supplied for those who need them and the sessions, which are limited to eight places each, run from 10am-11am.
Cost is £7 per child and more details from 01886 832199 or 07948 390785.
