THERE are many imitations worldwide but everyone knows there is only one Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce.
Which is why a campaign has kick started to get the over 170-year-old recipe, which is still produced and bottled in Midland Road, Worcester, given protected status.
Worcestershire County Council has been asked to seek talks with ministers and Heinz over giving the famous, authentic brand special protection alongside just 63 other products.
