THREE new homes are to be built in Stoulton at the Motor House in Pershore Road.
The new detached houses have been given the approval by Wychavon District Council planners after the proposal received the backing of Stoulton Parish Council.
The homes will be on the site of the former garage, although the forecourt itself will not be developed for housing as it was deemed not to be commercially viable.
A report published on the development stated: "The economic reality is that the front garage site is commercially not viable due to the cost of demolition, removal of underground tanks and the remediation works required.
"The site and buildings have been used for the motor trade business for many years. It is proposed that these buildings are restored and refurbished and will continue in their previous use to provide sales and workshop facilities.
"This work does not require planning approval and does not form part of this application. The area of the development land lies within the settlement boundary and is deemed suitable for residential use."
