THE time of day people in Pershore receive their letters could change as the Royal Mail makes some amendments to the way it delivers post in parts of the WR10 postcode area over the coming weeks.
Postmen and women will begin to use new delivery methods and adopt revised delivery routes but all homes will receive a letter about the proposed changes.
The changes mean Royal Mail will continue to deliver in the morning and for a longer period during the day so many customers will continue to get their mail by lunchtime.
But the time customers receive mail will depend on where they live on the new delivery route, this may mean they receive the post later or possibly earlier than they do now and when mail volumes vary, the delivery arrangements and times may be changed.
The changes are being made because less letters are being posted everyday so the routes need to be efficient.
The service also delivers more larger items than before and so is investing in new equipment to carry these items to customers even more securely.
