THE AMERICAN Hitmen are coming to Evesham, where they will be targeting the Iron Road Rock Bar, in the High Street, with their own special brand of music.
The power chords will sound out on Saturday, April 23, from 8pm, and there will be an acoustic performance on Sunday, April 24, from 4.30pm.
The band members are all US combat veterans who have set down the rifle for the guitar, drums and microphone.
The band was actually formed in Iraq, and each member saw action in Operation Phantom Fury, back in 2004.
A spokesman said: "In 2009 they became the first American Rock Band in 36 years to be invited to perform in Vietnam at Ho Chi Minh City at the Hard Rock Cafe. The American Hitmen brought a new and unfamiliar sound to the Vietnamese people, performing Aerosmith’s 'Walk This Way' with none other than Run DMC in front of a sold-out crowd."
In 2013, the band reached the 1/4 Finals of the TV Show America's Got Talent."
The spokesman added: "Brothers and Marine Corps Combat Veterans, Tim and Dan Cord, founded the band with fellow Marines and musicians in 2005.
"After serving four honorable years and two combat tours in Iraq, they decided to leave the Marine Corps to pursue a career in music in 2007. The brothers left the over-saturated Southern California music scene and moved to Utah, where they fell into true harmony with the addition of drummer, Phil Snyder, and bassist, Dave Briggs."
