REAL reindeer, carols, a fashion show and a dance performance, it was all going on when a Worcester law firm took over a city store for a shopping evening for its clients.
Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ annual Christmas shopping event at House of Fraser was headlined this year by two reindeer, brought along by Helen Taylor of Cob House destination venue at Wichenford, which proved a great attraction for young and old alike.
With the store offering discounts to shoppers, the evening had something for everyone, from dance performances by dancers from Studio B to traditional carols from Simon Taranczuk and the Keyes Choir of the King’s School, Worcester, along with a fashion show and a Christmas quiz. Models from among the store staff took to the catwalk, showing Christmas party wear, and Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ own James Osborne and his Strictly Worcestershire dancing partner Dawn Owen provided the finale. Boosted by a glass of prosecco and a mince pie, guests also enjoyed nibbles from Wildwood Kitchen, one of the latest additions to Worcester’s food quarter.
A raffle in aid of the Harrison Clark Rickerbys Charitable Trust, which raised £500, boasted prizes ranging from high-end jewellery to hampers full of beauty products or Christmas goodies.
Jonathan Brew, senior partner with HCR, said: “The reindeer and carol singers set the festive tone for a very enjoyable evening. We were delighted that so many of our guests gave generously to our charitable trust; it makes a vital difference to individuals and good causes across the Three Counties.”
