A PEDESTRIAN has been hit by a car near a city centre car park.
The crash took place at 8.50am this morning (Thursday)near St Martins Gate car park.
Police attended the crash near St Martin's Gate, along with other emergency services, to assist with traffic control.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We received a report around 8.50am this morning (9 May) of a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle.
"Officers attended the incident that happened on St Martins Gate in Worcester.
"Police remained at the scene to assist other emergency services and for traffic control."
West Midlands Ambulance Service said while they had been called to the crash, they were stood down due to their assistance not being required.
A spokesperson said: “We were called to a road traffic collision at the junction of George Street and St Pauls Street in Worcester at 9.04am.
"Prior to our arrival, we were stood down as our assistance was no longer required.”
